Apple Tree / Manzano is a nationally accredited (Star Level 5) faith-based non-profit organization, founded in 1999 to serve families with young children living in Sierra County. We offer a variety of age-appropriate programs, small teacher/child ratios, phonetic learning, integrated curriculum and a center based and teacher directed learning environment. Our goal is to provide a high quality, comprehensive family support program that is affordable and accessible to all families regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, ability, age, or income.

Manzano Christian School is committed to meeting the needs of the whole student spirit, soul, and body. Manzano Christian School will support the family and community as we cooperatively nurture each student to reach their full potential by developing within them a biblical world view, character, and knowledge.

Application/registration fee and tuition ranging from $80.00 to $125.00 per week. Accepts State Assistance. Scholarship applications available. Free tuition for children of foster parents, teen mothers and grandparents with temporary custody of their grandchildren. Nutritious meals included. |

| DESCRIPTION |
Program that teaches the skills that enable parents to deal constructively and consistently with a broad spectrum of child rearing issues such as health and wellness, child development, guidance and discipline, information about resources available to help families, etc. Workshops include presentations, small group activities; opportunities for parents to interact with children, etc. |

To provide foundation-level learning experiences in an age appropriate setting; to instill in children a life long love of learning. Learning environment is based on an understanding of how young children learn with both child directed and teacher directed learning. Activities include phonetic learning, understanding basic numbers and how to use them in everyday life; memory training; indoor and outdoor large motor activities; music, art, drama, science, social studies, nature study, field trips, and a language rich environment. Activities include art, music, heath and wellness, fieldtrips, indoor and outdoor large motor activities, organized games, tutoring, science and math, in a language rich environment. |

To provide an integrated system of learning from kindergarten through eighth grade. Combined age groups, small teacher child ratios, individualized curriculum address the academic needs of each student. Mastery of basic skills lay a foundation for future learning, critical thinking, and problem solving. Curriculum includes; math; science; social studies; English; word building; technology; Spanish; music; drama; art; physical education; and bible. |

| DESCRIPTION |
Apple Tree has a nationally accredited early childhood development program committed to helping each child reach their full individual potential. Small teacher child ratios, qualified staff and health and safety issues are addressed. A large portion of the day is spent in learning centers which include Art, Science/Nature, Reading, Manipulative, Listening, Dramatic Play, Computer, Quiet Area, and Block Play. Within these centers, the teacher provides activities and materials to facilitate your child's development. Children are encouraged to become involved in the activities, discover concepts, and master skills at their own rate of development. Children learn about their world when they manipulate materials, experiment, and talk about their experiences. Play is the medium through which young children translate experiences into something meaningful to them. |
