CHIHUAHUAN DESERT NATURE PARK
AGE RANGE Ages 5-18, and adult.
DESCRIPTIONCHIHUAHUAN DESERT NATURE PARK - Non-profit organization dedicated to improving scientific literacy by fostering an understanding of the Chihuahuan Desert. To achieve these goals, the Nature Park currently serves  K-12 students, teachers and other adults with hands-on, inquiry-based educational programs. Nature Park staff members are trained as both scientists and educators, allowing them to provide quality, age-appropriate programs focused on the scientific method. Some of the programs available are: Desert Science; in the Classroom, Field Trips, Schoolyard Long- Term Ecological Research Program, Chihuahuan Desert Expo, Desert Science Teacher Workshop and Public Lectures.

HOURS The Chihuahuan Desert Nature Park is open from sunrise to sunset. Access outside these hours requires special written permission from the Nature Park. Please contact the Nature Park office (575-524-3334) for more information
