Mission Statement
To provide free legal services to low-income ineligible clients in southern New Mexico. We provide only Civil Legal Services (non-criminal cases) in a variety of areas, such as Consumer, Employment, Family, Public Benefits, Housing and various other types of cases such as Wills, Migrant and Native American issues. NMLA is federally and state funded and is a private, non-profit corporation.

Administrative Overview
NMLA has approximately 70 staff with 11 offices throughout New Mexico. The staff consists of attorneys, paralegals, support and administrative staff.

 From children to adults.
DESCRIPTION A non-profit corporation which gives legal services, without cost, to poor persons that qualify and that live in the 16 counties of Southern New Mexico. Examples of cases handled are: Consumer, Employment, Family, Public Benefits, Housing and various other types of cases such as Wills, Migrant and Native American issues.
ELIGIBILITY Eligibility depends upon a number of factors such as: residency, financial condition and type of problem.
FEES No fee. Except for court and publication costs.
APPLICATION All applications are by phone.

LANGUAGES		 English and Spanish.
