| DESCRIPTION |
The patient will initially be signed in by the Admissions staff. The patient will be asked to pay the co-pay or leave a
down payment for the services being received. They will make your paperwork available to the clinical staff. You will be called back to the vital signs room. The vitals will be taken and you will be escorted to an exam room if one is available or be asked to wait in the lobby for the next available room when your turn comes up. Once back into a room
the nursing staff will recheck your vital signs if the initial set were abnormal. A provider (either doctor or nurse practitioner) will come in, examine you, run any tests that are needed, provide medications if necessary, etc., and explain the results of any available tests. You will be discharged with any pertinent information which will, at a minimum, include your discharge instructions. There are times where the needed care for your condition can not be properly managed in the Prompt Care setting. In that event you will be referred to the Emergency Department. This department is associated with Prompt Care and Memorial Medical Center.
