Admin. Office Travel Instructions
I-25 coming from Las Cruces:
Take I-25 exit 79 to Truth or Consequences. Continue south on Date
Street until the intersection of 9th Avenue and Date Street (at the
flashing traffic light by AUTO ZONE). Turn left and continue past the
Fire Station then proceed to the sign for the entrance of the Hospital.
I-25 coming from Albuquerque:
Take I-25 exit 79 to Truth Or Consequences. Bear right onto the ramp
toward Truth Or Consequences. Bear right and continue on N. Date
Street. Go 1.3 mi. Turn left at E 9th Ave. (at the flashing traffic
light by AUTO ZONE). Continue past the Fire Station and proceed to the
sign for the main entrance to the Hospital.

Sierra Vista Hospital is a community operated 25-bed critical access
hospital that is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and we are members of the New Mexico
Hospitals and Health Systems Association. We have dedicated caring
doctors, nurses and professional staff who are committed to providing
quality healthcare that is sensitive, compassionate, promptly delivered
and cost effective.

AMBULANCE SERVICE |
| DESCRIPTION |
SVH Ambulance is the sole
provider of ambulance service in Sierra County. It
provides Advanced Life Support care for emergency calls and for
inter-facility transports. Patients are transported on the
basis of need, not on the ability to pay for services. |

RURAL HEALTH CLINIC |
| DESCRIPTION |
Offers a full range of quality
primary healthcare services for members of our community from
prenatal to seniors. Our patients also have access to
laboratory services, radiology services, specialty clinic
services, respiratory care, hospital services, physical therapy
and ambulance and emergency care when needed. The clinic,
through the NM MEDBANK program, can assist persons of any age
who do not have prescription drug coverage, or who have used up
their benefits and meet eligibility guidelines. |

PHYSICAL THERAPY |
| DESCRIPTION |
Treats people with functional
problems due to debilitating disease or injuries to improve
function and quality of life. The treatments provided are
manual therapy, electrotherapy, pneumatic traction,
thermotherapy, hydrotherapy, therapeutic activity, orthotics and
kinesio taping. |
