Rio Grande Valley CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is giving the community an opportunity to do just that. RGVCASA is raising funds by collecting
- used computer printer ink cartridges
- laser cartridges, and
- used cell phones
Recycling collection points have been designated including
- Milagro
- Radio Shack
- Smith’s Office Supply
- area post offices
- Hot Springs High School Office
- County Office building at 100 North Date Street.
Just place used items in the collection boxes provided and CASA volunteers will see that they get recycled and the funds come back to the community. This will be an ongoing effort and is definitely a win-win for everybody.
Proceeds from the used items help fund the training of more child advocate volunteers, which are badly needed in Sierra County and throughout the 7th Judicial District. For more information on how you can become a CASA volunteer or help in other ways, call RGVCASA at 894-5947. |
