Mission Statement
The Medicine Research Center has an interest in those who have exhausted all other sources of help with their medication. We assist those who cannot afford the cost of their prescription drugs. These are individuals living on retirement, welfare, disability or are among the working low to middle income.

Prescription Expense Assistance

PRESCRIPTION ASSISTANCE

AGE RANGE All ages
DESCRIPTION Forwards applications for prescription assistance to the appropriate pharmaceutical company that offers a patient assistance program that covers the cost of the needed medication.
ELIGIBILITY Eligibility depends on individual company policies - most commonly that patient is not eligible for Medicaid, any other state aid program, there is no private insurance coverage, and patient's income creates a hardship in paying full price for prescription medications.
FEES $5 for each medication applied for, refundable with a written request if the application is not approved.
APPLICATION Submit an application form with doctor's signature along with $5. Arrange for doctor to telephone the agency toll-free.
