Provides subsidized employment to low income seniors 55 years and older. The goal is for participants to gain
job skills and regular employment. |

Candidates need to make an appointment. At the appointment, they need the following documentation: proof of citizenship, age, picture identification, proof of residency, and income for 12 months. |

| DESCRIPTION |
Helps seniors and others access health insurance and other benefits - Medicare and Supplements, Medicaid, Veterans' benefits, food stamps, Social Security and SSI, utility assistance, telephone assistance. Provides outreach and educational presentations. Helps beneficiaries and representatives understand Medicare payments made on their behalf. Identifies, investigates and reports fraud, abuse and misuse of Medicare and Medicaid funds. |

| DESCRIPTION |
Advocates for the rights of residents in nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. Investigates and resolves complaints.> Maintains a network of trained volunteers and staff throughout the state. Provides information and referral regarding long term care programs and services. Advocates improvements in state and federal laws and regulations. Identifies and seeks to remedy gaps in facility, government or community services. |
