Swimming Pool Action Group

Rose has set up a date for our Diving for Nickels project. The pool manager is scheduling Sunday, July 17th from 4 to 5pm for us to toss the nickels. Regular life guards will be on duty, but our committee will conduct the nickel toss. Ruth will bring plastic baggies and markers to hold each child's collection. Rose will write an article for the newspapers promoting the event.

We have a price from Wildflower Printing of $20.00 for 100 posters and $30.00 for 100 bumper stickers. Marcia has not received a final price on the T shirts yet. Jo is going to check with Desert Graphics for their price on these also. Meanwhile, the posters that were donated to us from Office Max in Las Cruces, have been placed in various spots around town.

Marcia has composed and taken a letter to the Moose Club asking for a donation to our Roof Us Project. They have promised $250.00. We had two guests from the planning committee, Jackye McDaniels and Bobbi Landon. Bobbi mentioned that the group that worked years ago trying to get the pool covered, had funds left that could be transferred to the present committee. She will check on getting this done. Ruth will e-mail a file with the logo letterhead to everyone concerned, as soon as she gets it from the graphic artist. We will then be able to send thank you letters to the people who have donated to the Roof Us Fund.

Mick brought up that he had been checking with the pool maintenance person about routing the hot water from the solar system directly into the pool, rather that having it sit in the holding tank until it was called for. He will follow up on this again.

Our next Marketing meeting is scheduled for July 6th , noon, at the library. Those interested are welcome to attend. The next general meeting is July 21st, 5:30pm at the computer lab.
