We were not able to get bottled water from either Sam’s Club or the church to sell at our booth at the Sierra County Fair. However, Ruth contacted the manager of Food Basket and he generously donated 3 cases to our project. Ruth will send him a letter of thanks this week. Apparently, we were able to distribute information about the Roof Us project to a lot of people at the fair and a good number signed up in support of the effort. We also sold baked goods, T-shirts and conducted a raffle for a T-shirt. The winner will be announced next week. Rose will do an article for the newspapers this week She will check with Amber Care to see if we can bring T-shirts by to sell there.

Discussion was held about the need for a presentation letter to be used at the time we approach clubs for money . We decided that we should check with the general committee about someone to write the letter and present it to the clubs.

Our next meeting will be noon, Wed. Oct. 26th at Rose’s home. The next public meeting is scheduled for 5:30, Thursday, Oct. 20th at the Computer Lab.
